Sri Lanka Port Authorities (SLPA) Customer Services Centre
Software (CSCS) is a comprehensive fully web enabled cargo
delivery system to simplify import and export processes.
CSCS streamlines imports and exports procedures while improving
the productivity and reducing the costs for both SLPA and customers.
Once become operational, CSCS system will handle more than half
of the imports and export of Sri Lanka. Therefore this system has
huge impact on Sri Lankan economy.
External parties benefited from the CSCS include Shipping Agents,
Clearing Agents, Forwarders, Wharf clerks and Consignees.
They benefit from the facility to transmit shipping documents online
over the Internet, track their consignments via the CSCS system,
view bill details and make payments over the internet which eliminates
the need for the them to be presented at the port until collecting
the cargo.

CSCS is complete with functions to automate internal major operations
of SLPA. Those areas include:

This system interacts with many other external systems such as
Yard Planning & Controlling System, Sri Lanka Customs computer

based on J2EE framework and incorporate following technologies.
